Azure Container Service (ACS) allows developers to orchestrate applications using Apache Mesos or Docker Swarm. ACS also enables users to migrate container workloads to and from Azure without code changes, according to Microsoft.

Under the hood, ACS allows users to create, configure and manage a cluster of virtual machines that are prconfigured to run containerized applications.

Microsoft unveiled ACS in September 2015 and made a first public preview of ACS available to testers before the end of last year.

Pricing information for ACS is available on Microsoft’s Azure site.
