The DAO Creation is now Live
The DAO is live and has therefore entered its Creation phase at address 0xbb9bc244d798123fde783fcc1c72d3bb8c189413 .
Note that you can now create DAO tokens at https://daohub.org —and this site only. Other sites may or may not display the correct DAO contract address, but we are only committed to submit ourProposal to The DAO at address 0xbb9bc244d798123fde783fcc1c72d3bb8c189413 , owned by the community at daohub.org and curated by its esteemed signatories .
How did DAOhub.org choose to that address? Well, first they took the bytecode generated from compiling the Framework in Solidity and published it on their forums . Several members of the community generated different DAOs and in the end, it was decided by a coin flip .
That address was passed to the exchanges for integration, and then was revealed to the world! Read that wiki by the way, not only is it interesting, it’s also very important to always check the byte code matches the source . It’s meant to be trustless, after all.
This is the identicon automatically generated by the Ethereum Wallet for The DAO’s correct address: an open heart!
We look forward to demonstrating how a relationship between a DAO and its Contractors can be mutually beneficial and generate revenue. We’re particularly excited about potential synergies with other Proposals The DAO will vote on. What about Mobiliq , to create self-renting urban vehicles? What about a 3D printing company to create local on-demand manufacturing?
PS: A quick note about the name of The DAO: like everything else, the name of The DAO is decided by… The DAO. So rather than put up a public survey that would have led to a name like ‘ DAOy Mc DAOface ’, the name will be chosen by actual Token Holders. We also look forward to the creation a discussion forum which would validate DAO Token Holders, in order to keep the conversation limited to those that are vested in the success of the project.
For all questions regarding to The DAO please refer to its forums at https://daohub.org , and for Slock.it related information, please come and say hi on ourSlack!
